Examption from toll tax at all toll barriers country wide

Sub: Examption from toll tax at all toll barriers country wide for
(a) Armed Forces (serving and retired) & their family members
(b) Physically Disabled (Physically Challenged)

Sir,

After careful consideration the ministry of Road Transportation has
formulated the guidelines for the above categories of Personal and has
recommended that the following categories be completely exempted from toll
tax at all the toll tax banners through out India
1. All the member of regular armed forces, (Army. Navy, Air Force)
2. Members of Territorial Army and NCC when moving on duty
3. Family members of regular and irragular Armed force Personnel,
when accompanying them, as well as carriages and animals when
moving under military authorization
as a group
4. All the vehicles/Personnel accompanying the Armed forces personnel
5. All the Physically Disabled persons having disability greater then 40%
(carrying certificates of disability).
6. Vehicle carrying a Physically Disabled person persons
authorities may please be brified for implementation of the above order
Further action into the matter may please be taken and all concerned
effectively at the grass root level to reach the beneficiaries
It may please be noted that the above guidelines are to be followed
strictly in true letter and spirit to ensure that none of the people mentioned
above face any hardship/harassment at the toll barriers country wide-as has
been reported by newspapers). Any violation of the above by the contractors
staff manning the toll barriers would be viewed seriously and very stringent
action would be taken (may even lead to cancellation of the contract)
